Greenhut Memorial - Grand Army of the Republic Hall

The National Register application and listing was completed on July 13, 1976. The main floor, including auditorium and foyer, has been completely restored. A replication of the main stained glass memorial window has also been accomplished. Continuing restoration work on remaining unfi nishedportions of the building including minor tuck-pointing of the masonry and limestone, wood stair reconstruction and repair, and roof replacements.

Veterans Memorial Park adjoining the hall was designed by Kenyon and Associates, developed by the Central Illinois Landmark Foundation and turned over to the Peoria Park District.
